Our home for 8 days and 7 nights sailing in Greenland is the beautiful two-masted oak ship Donna Wood built in 1918. Representing Danish shipbuilding tradition at its very best, Donna Wood was originally built as a lighthouse ship, but in 1990 the ship underwent massive restoration and was equipped with rigging and sails.

Donna Wood is a roomy ship with a deck saloon with room for all of us to dine, work, and relax. The main deck has plenty of room for everyone to shoot—from the bow, stern and top and sides. There is ample space below deck comfortably accommodating 12 of us in 6 cabins, each equipped two beds, washbasins and closets. The hallway features two spacious shared shower facilities and toilets.

Food on board is sumptuous and plentiful—you will not go hungry! Because it’s our ship, we control the mealtimes, which will be set around our photography schedule, at our convenience.

Donna Wood has two Zodiacs which we will use to cruise around the icebergs, and for our shore excursions.
