We’ve been thrilling our guests since our very first workshop in 2007. Hundreds of workshops around the world later, clients keep returning, with nearly 75% of our workshops filled by repeat clients. Here’s what some of them have to say.
If you’d like to speak with a client of ours, or if you have any questions about our workshops, contact us by email or phone and we’ll be there for you!
Marc, you are a gifted teacher...I learned so much from you. Andy, you are a more direct person and I liked the direct answers you gave me when I asked a question. Yes, the instructions were a blessing.
One thing that really sets Muench Workshops apart is the personal attention in the months leading up to the adventure. I was astonished that Andy called me directly to talk about the workshop when I emailed my interest. It meant the world to me that he cared enough to work with me to help me get to the point of being able to make the decision to attend. The opportunity to ask him questions during the prep for the workshop was fantastic and helped take some of the guesswork out of the prep regarding adequate layers. As it turned out, without that interaction, I would not have upgraded my already significant cold-weather gear (which was critical for this adventure) ...and been cold. I never expected -20 degree boots would not be sufficient!
Kevin, thank you for a terrific experience in Russia & Siberia. Your soft touch style was perfect for me as I am used to doing my own thing. But, I appreciated how you kept us on course and worked so well with Vladimir. He also did a phenomenal job and I personally enjoyed the mix of landscape, people, and night shooting. Siberian road adventures aside, the trip had a nice balance including a slice of Moscow. I enjoyed learning from your photography and travel experiences and the drone lesson too.
I had been to only a few photo workshop in the past. I came away mostly feeling they weren't worth the effort. You guys are leagues above, and have caught my interest in attending another of your workshops.
Just finished an amazing workshop with Greg and Tom at Yellowstone and Tetons! They gave fantastic input and thoughtfully challenged us while taking us to spectacular locations. My skills were sharpened and my soul was nourished!!!! This was one of the most intentionally instructive workshops I have attended. I really filled in some gaps I had in my photographic knowledge and also was given a lot to think about and to practice. I am very appreciative.
Since this was my first experience with real "landscape photography" I perhaps needed more guidance with others. And when I needed help, Marc and Cody were always around. Landscape photography (especially at night!) was much harder than I thought. I learned a lot and hope to apply some of these skills to night photography here in Paris.
Wow! I am still saying that after 6+ months! Great workshop! We had many photographic opportunities with great backgrounds and good lighting. Marc is a top-notch instructor. Since we were on safari location, Marc met with each of us and provided critiques, etc. individually.
Wayne was terrific. He was available as much or as little as I needed. He asked what our individual goals for the workshop were and then followed up as needed with each of us. I wanted to work on improving my composition skills, and Wayne checked in with me on each shoot, sometimes several times, and worked with me to help me improve. His instruction was top-notch!
Could not have been happier with Talor. She's pleasant, upbeat, super-knowledgeable, and full of energy. Being in a vehicle on lengthy drives with her and Lisa was a joy. So impressed with Talor's ability to demonstrate Lightroom techniques. She spoke for a content-rich hour and a quarter without an "um" or "ya know".
This was my second trip with Kevin. I really like his low-key attitude. Without question, Kevin was most interested in our photographic success and having fun. He was willing to stay out as late as required in our attempts to see and photograph the Aurora. He was willing to do what it took to get shots for us. I have been on other trips where that was not the case.
It exceeded my expectations. I really enjoyed the workshop. Richard has an enormous amount of knowledge and he explains things clearly. He is very good at giving critique and I would love to learn more from him.
I was so pleased to find the workshop turned out to be much more than I expected. Andy takes such great care of people. I noticed this on several occasions, where he was very diligent in meeting individuals' needs, from photography to food and comfort! Marc was consistently kind, patient, and so easygoing. Both men really shined, which is not easy to do with the dynamics of keeping tabs on a group and maintaining a schedule to give us optimal opportunities.
Lisa, I can't thank you enough for everything, you were so patient with me, you taught me so much and thanks to that I evolved as a person and as a photographer. I learned many things I didn't know, and no matter how many times I asked you, you always explained them to me, you are a great teacher!
I learned a lot. The one-on-one was great and very valuable. I would like to commend the two workshop leaders, Michael and Noel, for their enthusiasm, passion, and professionalism. They were able to adapt the program to the ever-changing conditions (weather, accommodations, etc.). I definitively got the impression they were genuinely interested in teaching us vs. taking their own shots & following their own agenda
We learn so much from the critiques with Andy! Thanks!!!!
One of the factors that made this trip unique was our local guide, Noel Rodgers. His intimate knowledge of the locations was critical to maximizing our photo opportunities with the shifting weather, both during the workshop and the private extension afterward with me, Thomas, and Gero.
Andy was beyond hospitable and would have done everything possible to make certain that everyone was having a good time and had everything that they needed. Andy's outward personality and leadership are much appreciated.
Both Tom and Greg were very helpful in teaching composition in the field. In addition, Greg sorted out most if not all my problems with Lightroom which was no small task. In fact, despite his obvious deep knowledge of Lightroom, he mentioned a couple of my issues he had not seen before. But he persisted and solved the issues.
Marc is sooo patient and thorough. I actually retained some things!
Greg has to be one of the most kind and patient photographers/human beings I have ever met. His photographic knowledge and knowledge of Olympic national park are outstanding.
