Glaciated Mountains, Reflecting Lakes, Fall Colors
Join us for a special opportunity to work with the new Hasselblad X1D system and all three Muench Workshops owners, Marc, Andy & David, and MW Pro Michael Strickland. We'll partake in our usual incredible landscape photoshoots, and include time in private meeting rooms to review results and teach proper technique your system as well as the X1D. We'll get up very early and stay out past sunset to capture the amazing beauty of the Canadian Rockies in a less-visited region called Kananaskis Country. This workshop is part of the Hasselblad Experience, but of course you can use your own camera system as well!
We begin the workshop in the picturesque town of Canmore and then venture out into the parts less traveled, where we'll photograph jagged mountains towering over glaciated ponds and lakes, and valleys filled with trees turning all shades of colors. You'll learn many landscape photography techniques with attention to composition, the art of seeing, and even topics like focus stacking, maximizing dynamic range, and color accuracy. We always emphasize creating images over equipment used, and just because we're highlighting certain equipment on this occasion, we will not alter our goal of teaching the most important aspects of our art in the landscape. Your days will be filled with stimulating photography both in the field and in the classroom. You will come away with inspiring techniques to help you see amazing images. You will grow your compositional vocabulary in ways that help you become more selective when faced with capturing nature in a meaningful way.
This workshop pairs perfectly with our Canadian Rockies Workshop, September 19–26, 2017. Only 2 spots left on that one!
For this workshop we proudly work with our Canadian licensed guide and pro, Kevin Pepper Photography in Woodstock, Ontario.
