Make your very own Platinum Palladium print
Come learn how to make your very own platinum palladium print. Join Muench Workshops’ pro and cofounder Marc Muench and pro Michael Strickland on this unique exclusive print workshop in Flagstaff, Arizona.
Platinum palladium printing is a traditional photographic printmaking technique dating back to the period in photographic history that predates silver gelatin prints. The prints are exposed to a UV light source and were originally exposed by the sun.
You’ll spend the first day learning how to prepare the correct image file within Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, to make the best possible print. We’ll have our own private meeting room for this classroom session before visiting the professional lab to view a demonstration of the process. The following day everyone will make their own prints, doing every step of the way themselves including, coating, exposing, and developing the print. The lab is a commercial building making it perfectly safe to use the chemicals necessary for the process.
Everyone makes their own 11”x14” platinum palladium print. Additional prints can be ordered from the lab at normal rates. All final prints are shipped home preventing any possible damage caused by travel.
