Hawaii, The Big Island

Join us to photograph the unique parts of the big island, Hawaii. From the moment you walk off the plane, you’ll be in the warmth of the Hawaiian Islands, surrounded by lush rainforests, tropical waters, and towering volcanoes reaching over 13,000 feet into the air. This workshop will take you on a doors-off helicopter flight of the North Kohala coast to photograph soaring waterfalls from the air. You’ll take a boat ride with a chance to photograph the lava flow entering the ocean, and visit the summit observatory on Mauna Kea at 13,000 feet, where you can photograph the brilliant stars in the night sky.

Muench Workshops pro Greg Vaughn is assisted by local pro photographer Bryan Pezman, and together they will guide you into the best of the big island. Hotels will be wonderful and you’ll spend two nights on the rim of the volcano at the famous Volcano House in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. You’ll learn composition as well as camera techniques for improving your landscape photography, and in our signature image reviews you'll learn more, including our post-processing tricks in Lightroom. Don’t wait, this is a great opportunity to learn landscape photography in a warm tropical paradise!
