COVID-19 CORONAVIRUS AND WORKSHOP TRAVEL

Explore the Big Island of Hawaii

February 12–19, 2024

Join us on the big island of Hawaii. You’ll photograph waterfalls in the lush rainforest, fly over and photograph the spectacular north coast in a helicopter with the doors off, and photograph stars and the night sky above from the summit of Mauna Kea. You’ll photograph white and black sand beaches, plus craters and volcanic landscapes in Volcanoes National Park, while staying at the famous Volcano House with incredible views on the rim.

This small group of only six guests will be working with our pro to learn more about photography on one of the most beautiful islands in the Pacific. You’ll have lessons on composition from the air and the ground, post-processing, and our famous image reviews.

During this workshop, you will see the most beautiful parts of this island, beginning on the Kona coast, traveling to the north shore, and ending up back on the Kona coast. You’ll also have the opportunity to photograph the archeological sites of the ancient Polynesians at Puuhonua O Honaunau National Historical Park.

Muench Workshops is an authorized permittee of the National Park Service.

Testimonials

“Greg Vaughn is a class act. He is an excellent instructor and a gentleman. Up till now I have booked trips based on location, but in the future I might book a trip I would otherwise not be too excited about, if he was to be the instructor. ”

— Bob Slackman, Olympic National Park '21

“Greg was excellent at making sure each participant was set up and ok. He made the round coming back to check. Helped with technique and always noted numerous additional photos options. ”
