Hoh Rain Forest, Hurricane Ridge, Sea Stacks and More!
The Olympic Peninsula is a vortex of all that is found in the Pacific Northwest—glaciated mountains, lush rain forests, rugged coastlines, and beautiful waterfalls—all concentrated into one region. This workshop is designed to take advantage of a central location at the scenic Crescent Lake Lodge, which lies in the heart of mountainous Olympic Penninsula.
Plan on bringing a wide variety of lenses to capture the vast array of landscapes, from the intimate details in the rain forest to the vast vistas up on Hurricane Ridge. Learn how to create long exposures in low light and also in the middle of the day with neutral density filters. This time of year lends itself to wildflowers in the alpine regions, and a good chance of sun for coastline landscapes at sunset. There is always something to photograph here, considering the variety of locations available within several hours’ drive. Each day will be filled with many great opportunities for photography and the potential for night photography.
Professional photographers Joe Brady, Diane Bollen, and David Muench will be leading this workshop. Each will share with you their unique techniques and visions of how to approach subjects, helping give you a varied and rich learning experience. You will be instructed about composition on every shoot and learn about post processing, while reviewing images during the group critiques.
Muench Workshops, LLC operates under Commercial Use Authorization in our National Parks. We always carry proper permits and certification.
