Our Home for 3 days before the workshop starts will be the S/Y Polski Hak. She is is an absolute one-off, not only as a design, but also as an approach for big-boat sailing. She is an ultimate fusion of durability, autonomy, comfort, style, safety and beauty. Plenty of room for up to eight to live on board, photograph, eat, and sleep. S/Y Polski Hak's beautiful wooden finishing feels like cozy home. Space is very well organized in order to live comfortably during expeditions that can take many months. Altogether there are over one hundred lockers, drawers and cabinets to unpack personal belongings and feel home.
Plenty of space aboard in 4 guest cabins, each with two separate beds and two shared bathrooms with showers. On top of that there are 4 large bunks on each side of the saloon, which can be used for extra crew or storage.

September 8–11, 2018: Sailing, Photographing, dining and living aboard S/Y Polski Hak. The ship, and the itinerary is ours to determine. We will set mealtimes around photography, not the other way around. We have a zodiac on board so that we can head ashore anytime we like. We will spend our time photographing the ice formations, icebergs, glaciers, coastal landscapes, mountains, and, if lucky, wildlife such as whales, seals, arctic fox, and birds. With clear skies and good solar activity we hope to be lucky to photograph the northern lights as well! Oh and we plan a village stop to photography the people and colorful houses at the small town of Saqqaq.
September 11, 2018: We will meet the other half of our group around mid-day, and we will disembark the Polski Hak and head back to Ilulissat to check in to our hotel for the start of the regular workshop. The remainder of the itinerary is on the Greenland/Iceland workshop page.
