Neil is originally from the UK. After an extensive career in the hospitality industry there, in France, the US, and most recently New Zealand, he has now made his home in Blenheim on the South Island, where he runs small photography workshops, online coaching, guiding, and hosting visitors to the country. There aren’t many parts of the South Island which he does not know intimately.
Neil has been photographing from a very early age, encouraged and taught by his father, who once worked for Kodak. His passion for capturing the natural beauty of the landscape around him was particularly reinvigorated with the advent of digital photography. He has traveled extensively, and in addition to now selling his collection of fine art images to clients around the world, Neil’s work has been featured in many newspapers, travel magazines and journals, and is often seen at international conferences and trade shows, as part of Tourism New Zealand’s international sales and marketing programs. Neil shoots with Nikon and Fujifilm mirrorless systems.
P.S. Did you know that Neil’s favorite camera feature is focus peaking? Learn more about Neil and his approaches to photography by visiting his “Meet the Pro” page.
