Our home as we sail, photograph, and explore Antarctica is the M/V Sea Spirit. Ice-strengthened and stabilized for the smoothest possible sailing, she is very well appointed throughout and provides amazing deck space for photography. The full complement of inflatable landing craft ensures superb landings and wildlife viewing opportunities on the otherwise inaccessible coastline.
You have a choice of single cabins or sharing cabins. We can easily match you up with a great cabinmate.
Sea Spirit is perfect for our small-group photography expedition to Antarctica. While she’s designed to hold 118 passengers, our group size will be limited to about 70 or so. The ship has plenty of great deck space for photography and rapidly deployed zodiacs for our shore landings and zodiac cruises. There’s a huge comfortable lecture room for us to do our signature image reviews in, as well as the massive amount of onboard instruction we’ll deliver on Lightroom, composition, and wildlife photography techniques. Oh and don’t forget the naturalist talks from our team and the ship’s expedition team!
With five levels of single or double cabins to choose from, plus the Owner’s Suite, there is something for everyone. All cabins are beautifully appointed and feature plenty of space for you and your gear and clothing. As you go up in cabin classes, you will find more room, larger windows, and some with balconies. All cabins feature en-suite facilities with a toilet, sink, shower, and hairdryer.
Food onboard has an international flair. Breakfast and lunch are buffet-style, and dinner is a three-course meal served at your table by the wait staff. Almost any dietary needs can be accommodated, just let us know ahead of time about any special requirements you have.
Public areas include Reception, Restaurant, Bar, Outdoor Bistro, Club Lounge, Library, Presentation Lounge, Infirmary, Gym, Bridge.

Main Deck Suites:
Averaging 248 sq ft / 23 sq m, Main Deck cabins are equipped with either two twins or a King Size bed. They are located on the Main Deck with a minimum of two portholes for exterior views. Amenities include: en suite facilities, in-room safe, refrigerator, satellite telephone access, TV/DVD individual temperature control, and hairdryer.
Classic Suites:
Averaging 226 sq ft / 21 sq m, Classic Suite cabins are equipped with either two twins or a King Size bed. They are located on the Ocean Deck with a picture window for exterior views and two wardrobes. Amenities include en suite facilities, in-room safe, refrigerator, satellite telephone access, TV/DVD individual temperature control, and hair dryer.
Superior Suites:
Located on the Club Deck, and averaging 215 sq ft / 20 sq m, these cabins feature two twin beds or a King Size bed. The picture window overlooks an outside walkway on the Club Deck. Amenities include en suite facilities, walk-in closet or wardrobe, in-room safe, refrigerator, satellite telephone access, TV/DVD, individual temperature control, hairdryer.
Deluxe Suites:
The Deluxe Suites with balconies are located on the Sports Deck. Averaging 258 sq ft / 24 sq m means there is plenty of room. Choose from either two twin beds or a King Size bed. A sliding glass door leads to a private balcony. These suites feature a walk-in closet or wardrobe. Amenities include en suite facilities, in-room safe, refrigerator, satellite telephone access, TV/DVD, individual temperature control, and a hairdryer.
Premium Suites:
The Premium Suites are located on the Sun Deck. Averaging a generous 323 sq ft / 30 sq m, with two twin beds or a King Size bed. Access the private balcony by a sliding glass door. Amenities include en suite facilities, lounge area, in-room safe, refrigerator, satellite telephone access, TV/DVD, individual temperature control, and hairdryer.
Owner's Suite
The Owner’s Suite is a super-spacious (463 sq ft / 43 sq m) elegant suite on the Sun Deck. Designed for entertaining, the Owner’s Suite has a separate living room with a game and meeting area. A Bose stereo system provides background music, or watch videos on the HD TV. Sliding glass doors lead to a private deck. Refresh in the jetted bathtub in en suite facilities. Slumber in the King Size bed.
