Joseph Roybal
Joseph Roybal

From Colorado’s peaks, Patagonia’s glacial bays to Iceland’s rugged coastline, pro-photographer Joseph Roybal loves nothing more than being in the field and traveling the globe searching for dramatic landscapes and gorgeous light.

Joseph is a full-time professional landscape and travel photographer based in Denver, Colorado. He hopes that his passion for exploring will inspire others behind the lens in their creative pursuits.

An instructor at heart, Joseph is also passionate about working with individuals in the field and the classroom sharing his techniques to unlock the Rubik’s cube of landscape photography, making it a fun and creative process.

When not in the field, Joseph can be found mountain biking, seeking out the best cheeseburger in town, and has a pet betta fish, Ms. Betta Fett.

Testimonials

Juan S.
Scotland Castles and Color
Outstanding instructions from Joseph Roybal. He is a great teacher who is a knowledgeable photographer with a great passion to share what he knows. Joseph took his time very patiently with each one of the participants to explain composition, camera settings, positioning, etc and later went through very educational editing sessions. I would give him a sixth star.

Personality matches can play an important part of workshop satisfaction and Joseph's personality and interaction was a definite plus. Joseph did a great job in planning and executing during a challenging workshop.
Despina T.
New Zealand
Joseph conducted a masterful critique and Lightroom demonstration that, while occasionally delving into moderate to advanced techniques, was communicated in a way that was clearly understood.
Doug W.
Cirque of The Towers
Joseph was great. He has very good leadership skills- attentive, good sense of humor, thinking ahead and planning. He is also a very good instructor- listening to questions, giving feedback / suggestions, and not just showing how to do a particular technique, but also why and when a person might use it.

Joseph really knows his "stuff" and more importantly, how to teach it in an easily understood fashion. At the various sites, he was continually seeking us out to make sure all our questions were answered and to give us tips on improving our image selections and camera setting needed to get the best photo.
