Spend the weekend learning how to photograph urban Denver Skyline and interior compositions. Then, learn about landscape photography in Garden of the Gods and at the Flatirons Scenic Area.
If you want to understand the basic settings of your camera, how to compose, and what techniques to use for these two types of photography, come take this crash course and advance your ability fast! You’ll spend several hours in our private meeting room to learn before you go practice. Walk away with a great understanding of natural light, composition in the field, and basic post-processing moves.

September 13, 2024: Meet up with the group at our hotel, have a early dinner then go photograph the city center during the afternoon light and into sunset and learn how to create accurate exposures in the dusk light with all the city lights.
September 14, 2024: You’ll start early to photograph dawn light then after breakfast, gather in our private meeting room for an image review and class. After lunch, we’ll head out to photograph all afternoon to practice camera techniques learned about in class. You’ll visit the Garden of the Gods to practice landscape photography techniques.
September 15, 2024: You’ll start early again to take advantage of the good light. This morning, you’ll visit the Flatirons Scenic Area. You’ll get a nice warm breakfast followed by our final image review and say good byes.
Moderate: Long days on your feet in a variety of conditions and sometimes uneven surfaces.
Arrive Denver International Airport (DEN), Denver, Colorado before 1:00 PM on September 13, 2024. Flights out can be made after 1:00 PM on September 15, 2024. Air travel delays are common. Please arrive early, possibly even the day prior, so you don’t miss any of the workshop.
